Chapters00:00 - Acoustic playing into / Surgery announcement
03:25 - Good news - Plexi Soul vinyl album
04:30 - Guthrie Trapp record
Notes
Hello friends...don't be frightened. Your old buddy is fine. I just went in for some surgery yesterday to remove an area of basal cell carcinoma (inflitrative type) thats been there for years actually.
Supposedly the operation was a success...the people at Vanderbilt were soooooo cool and soooo sweet.
I highly recommend plastic surgeon Dr. Galen Perdikis....he's a real bad ass and it's nice to know there is a real live professional around when it's time to get some big holes cut in your head.
The good news is my facial recognition on my phone still works.
Also, the whole time this is going on, I have been thinking how surprised the world would be if it was skin cancer that took me out....and not some liver or kidney issue haha
Special thanks to my dear old friend Nicky G....ain't a better man in this world in my book.
A little advice to you young cats out there...putting the necessary time in to develop some REAL friendships with a few VERY carefully selected people in this lifetime is a lot more important than nailing the solo to "Kid Charlemagne" or getting a pedal with a convincing Dumble tone.
That shit ain't gonna pick you up on a work day at 9am to take you to the hospital when you need it.

top 10 greatest lyrics ever written?
"Passing Afternoon" by Samuel Beam
"There are times that walk from you like some passing afternoon
Summer warmed the open window of her honeymoon
And she chose a yard to burn but the ground remembers her
Wooden spoons, her children stir her Bougainvillea blooms
There are things that drift away like our endless, numbered days
Autumn blew the quilt right off the perfect bed she made
And she's chosen to believe in the hymns her mother sings
Sunday pulls its children from their piles of fallen leaves
There are sailing ships that pass all our bodies in the grass
Springtime calls her children until she lets them go at last
And she's chosen where to be, though she's lost her wedding ring
Somewhere near her misplaced jar of Bougainvillea seeds
There are things we can't recall, Blind as night that finds us all
Winter tucks her children in, her fragile china dolls
But my hands remember hers, rolling around the shaded ferns
Naked arms, her secrets still like songs I'd never learned
There are names across the sea, only now I do believe
Sometimes, with the window closed, she'll sit and think of me
But she'll mend his tattered clothes and they'll kiss as if they know
A baby sleeps in all our bones, so scared to be alone"

Homeskoolin' Bonus "Northeast Ohio Outlaw"
Chapters00:00 - Playing: Willie Nelson - Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground
Notes
No person on this earth has ever been a bigger Willie fan than my dear departed mother Norma who moved on many years ago.
This one goes out to her....
This particular tune was from back in the old days when they really hadn't figured out how to write a great country song yet...ya' know, like they do nowadays.
I mean, just look at these amateur hour lyrics...
"If you had not have fallen
Then I would not have found you
Angel flying too close to the ground
And I patched up your broken wing and hung around a while
Trying to keep your spirits up and your fever down
I knew someday that you would fly away
For love's the greatest healer to be found
So leave me if you need to, I will still remember
Angel flying too close to the ground
Fly on, fly on past, the speed of sound
I'd rather see you up than see you down
So leave me if you need to, I will still remember
Angel flying too close to the ground.
So leave me if you need to, I will still remember
Angel flying too close to the ground."
