Happy new year friends …as 2026 begins I think it’s time we talk about the fact that the further along the road of TRULY understanding harmony that we get, one thing becomes more and more clear….there are REALLY only three chords…and everything else is really just a variant of those three chords…I actually think of them as the three “tensions” more than the three chords …as in the way that each one of the three pulls at the melody emotionally speaking
