04:35 - Martin acoustic and never changing the strings
12:36 - New D'Addario string, creasing the bridge / Launching some Gibsons?
Notes
Asking for a friend here , you know that feeling when you love a guitar SO MUCH just the way it is, that you are terrified to change the completely knackered worn out old strings , because you’re deathly afraid it’s gonna totally kill the whole vibe of the guitar?
I have never changed the strings on this magical little 38 OOO-18 the whole time I have had it for that very reason …but tonight friends??
Tonight that all changed
The old strings just wouldn’t tune up anymore, so I had no choice .
In retrospect I’m glad I did …the new strings reminded me of why I fell in love with this guitar in the first place …sure they are a tiny bit bright right now, but after a couple weeks of passing it around to people on sessions that will all be sorted out

you old veterans out there all know, when you get out on the road and just play play play all day ….your hands just get stronger and stronger.
It’s a cool feeling …”road hands” are a different kind of strength than “studio hands”…a few weeks in I start feeling like I could bust rocks with my left hand
Thanks for watching the progrum friends…im proud of this little community we have built
and if you want a good laugh today, just close your eyes and REALLY try to picture that asshole Gus trying to play this intro on his Cracker Barrel burst in his Chinese buffet blazer…with his 3.99 truck stop sunglasses and Steven Segall haircut hahaaaaa
I’ll give the boy credit, he actually did try for a brief minute to stop making videos about me, but as soon as he took my name out of the title his views tanked even worse than usual….even he was smart enough to figure that out
