Homeskoolin' Volume 523, Tom Bukovac, "Vintage Verified"
Chapters00:00 - Vintage instrument verification
Notes
Well friends, you have probably heard me mention this new company in the past.
A vintage guitar authentication service right here in Nashville TN called “Vintage Verified”
http://www.vintageverified.com
They have finally officially launched their business and are offering their services to the world.
FINALLY, there is a way to use pure science and data (spectrometry, x ray, microscope etc) to determine whether the finishes, plastics and metals on our beloved old guitars is indeed original or not.
They are now a part of the Gruhn appraisal network, backed by several heavy hitters in the vintage world.
Check out the website to see the list of services and endorsees.
Special thank you to my friend Matt Swanson for joining us .

Beau Carter
Graham Whitford
Ben
Tammy
I mentioned in the MCV video that I had a day off today…hahaaa.
I literally forgot that I did a quick overdub session this afternoon at my beloved old house that I owned years ago….
as i mentioned before to you guys, i should have never gotten rid of that studio...
#liferegrets
but... I am thrilled that my dear friend Mills Logan still has it and we can work there anytime we want…
so many memories in that room friends...i can't even begin to tell ya'
that’s the little home studio I told you guys about a while back where Brad Paisley made a lot of his earlier records. it was also the place where the Alison Krauss track “Whiskey Lullaby” was recorded.
i remember back in those days Zac Childs was Brad's guitar tech and he was always out there in my little garage.
I remember getting ready to go to work on an ordinary day, and I would open the door to the garage studio and someone like James Burton would just be standing there…
i never knew who would be out there at any given moment...fun times.
that session today was just a little pop country thing ….easy breezy…i worked for an LA based producer I had never met before called David Kershenbaum…very sweet fella
The folks in the studio with me were Mills Logan (amazing engineer) , Rowan Stewart (amazing drummer for Cliffs) and the studio assistant Riley

Homeskoolin’ Bonus…”Blues-In-Case”
Chapters00:00 - Rockin' on some different equipment
Notes
Uncle Larry wants to say thank you to the boys at Music City Vintage in Nashville TN for hookin’ a brother up with a fair deal on an EXTREMELY tidy ‘65 Silvertone 1448 with the straightest neck a man could ever ask for…AND a .00005 watt tube amp built right into the case!
Raise your hand if your first guitar was one of these….
We need to start a new trend of building small modeling amps into modern guitar cases with an iPhone type speaker you can barely hear…that would be fuckin’ cool
