Notes
Hello dear Homeskoolers…dearest Richard Brent, the fella that’s shown at the beginning of this video, was kind enough to bring over the iconic 57 Goldtop that Duane Allman used to plunk on to our soundcheck today .
The guitar is usually on display at the Allman brothers museum in Macon GA, which was about a mile from the old venue we played at apparently.
What a cool old guitar, it’s certainly been through a lot in its life…lots of changes and many owners…but all you gotta do is plug it in and hear it through an amplifier to quickly understand that it’s charm is pretty undeniable.
A nice lightweight guitar with a fairly shallow neck profile, that sports a FANTASTIC sounding pair of PAF’s that are extremely balanced with rich sounding midrange.
What’s not to love?
Special thanks to Steve Harlamert
