If you like the idea of having your golf swing analyzed by a pro golfer and all of his students, then this episode is for you

(editor's note) i have had several emails from people that somehow got the impression that i am offering free evaluations of people's playing....
just to be clear, i am offering these evaluations for the same 500.00 fee i charge for my in person guitar lessons.
sorry if i was somehow misleading in this video....

Notes
Three parts for ya in this vid....

1) a nice peek at the LOVELY guitar repair work of my dear old friend Nick Drushel at Glaser Instrument Repair in Nashville…615-298-1139
Nick is a gifted repair man…he uses his boundless creativity and skill to solve any problem I or anyone else can ever come up with.
He loves a challenge and ALWAYS finds a way to make it work in the end...mad respect bro.

2) a quick look at the session I’ve been in the last two days at Curb Studio in Nashville on a Wade Bowen record.
Been having an absolute blast playing with Duke Levine and the rest of that amazing band.
Check out the little call and answer thing between him and I on that intro.
i play the major 7 riff and then he does those bad ass slide down answers... the end result sounds like one big awesome guitar.

3) a little late night Buk jam for all you night owls out there…been fine tuning and tweakin' this old SG after getting it back today from a killer refret by Nick.
Those offset conversion posts he designed to be able to put an ABR-1 on your old Gibson using the original stud holes are gonna be a game changer for everyone when they come out.
Check the music city bridge website people...

03:17 - Bag Men band live footage

Notes
A classic Larry hodgepodge of random footage to help get you through the last NFL-less Sunday we are going to have to deal with for a good while….

the live band jam in the middle is the Bag Men…a new trio project starring Steve Gorman, Luther Dickinson and Nick “Nicky G” Govrik....caught in action at The Basement in Nashville TN....the OG Basement.

Chiefs/Bears electric football game ended up being stalled after a group decision to eat some Rao’s pasta....that segment stars Scank, Marshall and Mikey Gossin from the Gloriana's.

The board of directors wanted me to mention that if one was so compelled to throw a "Sunday offering" in the Homeskoolin' collection plate, one could do that by going to PayPal and using the address tombukovac@gmail.com

and totally unrelated...this is an AMAZING video...

Wait just a minute....Uncle Larry has a website now??? Whattttt????

Check it out kids:

http://thesessionman.com

The freshly re-mixed live video from the birthday gig at 3rd and Lindsley on December 20th 2022 is finally ALMOST ready to launch. Should be up in the next day or two. You can purchase a digital download of it from the new website for $14.99 if you like.

It features guest appearances by Guthrie Trapp, Jedd Hughes and Wendy Moten.  It also features a few clams and an occasional video glitch that was unfixable in post... but in the big picture these are only minor inconveniences...it's all in the spirit of live performance and it's many imminent dangers.

Most importantly, the original audio tracks from this show were beautifully remixed by the legendary engineer Steve Marcantonio,....Steve made a lot of big records in New York...J Geils, John Lennon etc

Special thanks to young David McLeod for putting the new website together.

Special thanks to Sting for writing the fucking amazing song I played at the beginning of the video...

"Tea In The Sahara"

"My sisters and I
Have one wish before we die

And it may sound strange
As if our minds are deranged
Please don't ask us why
Beneath the sheltering sky
We have this strange obsession
You have the means in your possession

Tea in the Sahara with you
Tea in the Sahara with you

The young man agreed
He would satisfy their need
So they danced for his pleasure
With a joy you could not measure
They would wait for him here
The same place every year
Beneath the sheltering sky
Across the desert he would fly

Tea in the Sahara with you
Tea in the Sahara with you

The sky turned to black
Would he ever come back?
They would climb a high dune
They would pray to the moon
But he'd never return
So the sisters would burn
As their eyes searched the land
With their cups full of sand"

Totally unrelated but still cool, here's that Duke Levine thing i mentioned in today's vid....absolutely transcendental shit.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krcp0uEBnsU

and....

Despite Dominic Hudson's best efforts to deter them, a lot of newer viewers have been asking "where is the tip jar?" lately...well, if you feel led to contribute a little something to the Homeskoolin' cause after well over 200 free guitar lessons, you can do that here.
